Urban biologist: For the love of nature
As a biologist at the NCC, my role is to protect these lands and ecosystems which occupy 550 km² of federal lands. It’s a job that comes with its own set of challenges, but also victories, friendships and memorable moments.
It’s important to “leave what you find” in the Capital
Treat nature as you would want others to treat your home. Every action counts. Whether you visit the Greenbelt, Gatineau Park or an urban park, follow the principles of outdoor ethics. Take nothing but pictures, and leave nothing but footprints on the trails.
