Accessible shuttle

In partnership with the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO), a new on-demand accessible shuttle service is now offered. This service is being introduced to improve accessibility when Gatineau Park parkways are closed to private vehicles and when regular shuttle service has ended for the evening.

Who can use the service

The service is available to individuals who self-identify as having a disability that restricts their ability to use active transportation. Each client may travel with one companion.

  • Individuals already registered with Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) Paratransit
    • These individuals may request trips using their usual reservation procedures, including departures from their place of residence.
  • Individuals not currently registered with STO Paratransit
    • These individuals must complete a mandatory registration form for Gatineau Park users. Confirmation of registration will be provided within seven (7) calendar days of submitting the request.
    • These clients must use the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre as their departure point (33 Chemin Scott, Chelsea, Quebec).

Service period and hours

  • The service is offered when Gatineau Park parkways are closed to private vehicles, until September 18.
  • It operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 5:30 pm until 30 minutes after sunset.
  • The service is not in operation when the fall schedule is in effect and the parkways are open to traffic every day.
