Cathy Lewis is an independent consultant with over 25 years of leadership experience in education, manufacturing and governance in the government, corporate and non-profit sectors. She has led the development of international industry certification programs in fintech and digital authentication and pioneered workplace education initiatives, including a groundbreaking apprenticeship program in biotechnology and medical device manufacturing. As a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, Cathy teaches leadership, team skills, and emotional intelligence in the Executive MBA program, as well as strategy for public sector leaders.
Cathy has worked with Microsoft, Nortel, NASA’s distance learning program, and school boards across Canada. She has also led award-winning sustainability projects, including shoreline restoration and biodiversity efforts. Deeply committed to community, Cathy co-founded iSisters Technology Mentoring in 2001, empowering women with technology skills. She supports organizations like Habitat for Humanity, the Elizabeth Fry Society of Ottawa, and the Ottawa Network for Education. A key focus of her consulting practice is strengthening governance in the non-profit sector. She holds degrees from Carleton University and the University of Ottawa, along with an Executive MBA from Telfer.
