Chelsea Ogilvie is a community engagement, social performance and sustainability professional. She has worked collaboratively with Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in northern BC and northern Ontario, building mutually beneficial partnerships centered on respect. She optimizes social impact and wants to inspire shifts in organizational behaviour and performance on social issues.
Chelsea has been working in the mining industry since 2017, helping sites maintain a social license to operate through meeting social obligations and being a good neighbour and community partner. Previously, she managed employees as a project manager for Outland Camps, hiring people from local communities and presenting at employment workshops.
Chelsea is passionate about breaking down barriers to outdoor access. She believes that people with disabilities have equal rights to enjoy nature, and that access to these natural spaces should be equitable.
She is the co-founder and president of the Canadian Disabled Outdoor Society and a board member of the Squamish Adaptive Mountain Bike Association. She previously served on the board of the Kootenay Adaptive Sports Association. Chelsea holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Calgary.
