Elsa Lalonde is an accessibility consultant and founder of Elle Accessible, a business promoting inclusion and full participation for all. In addition to her own experience as a person with a disability and her volunteer involvement and commitments in various committees and foundations, Elsa has worked in the field of disability and accessibility policy for many years. She has over 10 years of experience working with the Government of Canada, including five years as a policy analyst developing and drafting the Accessible Canada Act (ACA), followed by three years spent developing the ACA inspection and compliance program. In 2021, she founded Elle Accessible to address the lack of accessibility, disability and intersectionality resources available in the private, public and non-profit sectors. Her business services are adapted to her clients’ needs and enable her to comply with accessibility laws and provincial and territorial human rights codes. Elsa graduated in 2019 from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor in Criminology, did her graduate studies at Ryerson University in Critical Disability Studies in 2020, and obtained Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification from Carleton University in 2021.
