Valérie Rouette, Chief of Landscape Architecture with the NCC, is passionate about urban design, beautifully detailed public spaces, and making a positive impact for future generations. Over the years, she has successfully delivered many high-profile landscape architecture projects within the National Capital Region, contributing to the NCC’s mission of preserving and enhancing Canada’s capital. Valérie's key projects include master plan concepts such as the Sussex Courtyards, the Rideau to Rideau Waterfront Promenade, and the Lady Grey Drive site redevelopment. She has also been involved in numerous national monument projects, including the Canadian Navy Monument, the National Holocaust Monument, the War of 1812 Monument, and the 2SLGBTQI+ National Monument. Valérie is driven by her commitment to creating sustainable, inclusive and inspiring public spaces that leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
A licensed member of the Association des architectes paysagistes du Québec since 2011, Valérie is in the process of obtaining her membership with the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects. She holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the Université de Montréal.
